Charles Edward "Chuck" Bellamy View the online memorial for Charles Edward "Chuck" Bellamy Charles Edward "Chuck" Bellamy, 75, of Ballston Lake, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, September 27, 2018. Born in the town of Wilton, Chuck was the son of the late Edward and Elizabeth Smith Bellamy. He was raised and educated in Schenectady and Niskayuna and was a graduate of Linton High School, class of 1961. Chuck continued his education, graduating from Albany Business College in 1966.On June 25, 1966, Chuck married Nancy Ross and together they made Ballston Lake their home. Chuck was employed by New York State Department of Taxation and Finance as a tax examiner for many years until his retirement on April 15, 1999. Chuck and Nancy were very active members of All Saints Episcopal Church in Round Lake where Chuck served as treasurer, sang in the choir and served the vestry. Chuck proudly served in the Air National Guard for many years. He was a member of the 18 Plus Ski Club and a member of the Clifton Park Democratic Committee. He was a Boy Scout leader of Troop 83 and a Little League coach who had an extraordinary record. Additionally, he was a bowler and member of Schenectady Bowling Association and was proud to receive a 300 ring and to have bowled 812 for 3 games. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing as well with his many friends. Survivors include Chuck's wife, Nancy Bellamy; his children, Edward (Dawn) Bellamy of Ballston Lake and Barbara Bellamy of Ballston Lake; his grandchildren, Jason and Derek Bellamy; his sisters, Marjorie Boettner of Schenectady and Lucy Thompson of Waycross, GA; his brothers-in-law, Frederic (Sandra) Ross, Arthur Ross, Richard (Paula) Ross and Robert (Kim) Ross, all of Ballston Lake; his sisters-inlaw, Barbara Oberdieck of Clifton Park, Diane (John) Pastore of Niskayuna and Sharon Tudone of RI; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Chuck was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, Frederic and Marion Ross, Sr.; brothers-in-law, John Thompson, Robert Boettner and David Tudone, several aunts, uncles, cousins and a great-nephew. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Griswold Funeral Home, 1867 State St., Schenectady followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Ballston Lake Fire Dept.
