Patricia Marino, formerly of Lenox Road, Schenectady, New York, died peacefully at her home in Knivsta, Sweden on Sept 21, 2018. Born on March 4, 1943, in Schenectady, NY, she was predeceased by her Parents, Ann M (Savignano) and Americo F Marino, many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her aunts, Mrs. Emily Durand, Hendersonville, TN, Mrs. Virginia Zampella, Schenectady, NY, numerous cousins, sister, Lt Col Mary L Marina, USAF Ret, Brother, Michael J Marino (M Cooper Wright), New York City, and her beloved children, Ellen M Hultman, Odeshag, Sweden, Naveen Hultman, Uppsala, Sweden, twin Grandsons, Sandro and Angelo Hultman, Uppsala, Sweden and Nicolai Hultman, Odeshag, Sweden, and many friends here in the USA and Sweden. Patti, was a graduate of Linton High School, Schenectady, NY, NYU and Columbia Universities. She was a Persian (Iran) specialist and lectured in both the USA and Europe; she was also the Swedish consultant for Persian Art and History. Prior to her retirement from the Varldskultur Museerna in Stockholm, Sweden (National Museum of World Culture), she was the Curator of Persian Studies, and coordinated several Exhibits for Museum viewings. Patti was an activist, she supported many environmental concerns, Woman's rights, Disabled People needs, encouraged education for children and adults. Her special interest was for the Orphanage for Children with Special Needs, Pina Palmera, Mexico. She will be deeply missed.
