Alan Mikucki

Alan F. Mikucki, 74, of Kunkel Point Road, Mayfield, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville. He was born in Schenectady on January 14, 1944, son of the late Francis and Sophia Prusko Mikucki and was a 1961 graduate of Linton High School. Alan was a 1971 graduate of St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX. He resided in San Antonio until moving to Mayfield in 1987. While in San Antonio, Alan was a member of St. Matthew's Church and its choir. He also volunteered at the annual Night in Old San Antonio. Alan served as a councilman for the Town of Mayfield several years ago. He also owned and operated Isabel's Restaurant, formerly of Amsterdam. Alan was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Broadalbin and was a member of the choir. He was a member of the church festival committee and served as a volunteer. Alan was also a member of the former Holy Name Society. He enjoyed traveling and antiques. Alan loved spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Maureen Fox Mikucki, whom he married on November 27, 1970; two children, Matthew A. Mikucki and his wife, Jennifer McDonnell of Roswell, GA, and Jennifer (Andrew) Julie of Fonthill, Ontario, Canada; four grandchildren, Lauren Mikucki, Andrew Seabaugh, and Stacey and Clara Julie; and several cousins. Calling hours will be held TODAY from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, Inc. 111 County Highway 106 (Corner of Route 29 & Black Street), Johnstown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated TODAY at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 7 North Street, Broadalbin with Rev. Jun Segura officiating. Final burial will take place in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Church, in care of the funeral home.
