SCOTIA - Robert F. Schottenham, 55, of Sacandaga Road, died Friday at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady after being stricken at home.
Born in Schenectady, Mr. Schottenham was a graduate of the former Linton High School.
He was employed as a fireman for the city of Schenectady for 22 years, primarily at the Woodlawn Station. He retired in 1994.
Mr. Schottenham also was an inspector for the fire marshall in Schenectady.
He was a member of the Schenectady Permanent Firefighters Association.
He had lived in Scotia since 1986.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Arter Schottenham, whom he married April 3, 1985; a daughter, Shelly Barker Englert of Fort Edward; and three grandchildren.
A service is set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, East Glenville. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Schenectady.
Calling hours will be 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
