Ronald L. Peceri, 68, passed away at home on Sunday, October 16, 2011 surrounded by beloved family. Born in Schenectady in 1943, he was a son of the late Louis and Marion (Galusha) Peceri. After graduating from Linton High School in 1961, he served in the United States Navy until 1966. He went on to receive his bachelor's degree from Buffalo State. Until his retirement in 1994, he served as a quality control engineer for Niagara Mohawk. He was most recently employed by the Goldstein Auto Group. Ron was an avid Syracuse sports fan and loved deep sea fishing. He is lovingly remembered by his family as a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Ron is survived by his beloved wife Fran (Imbesi) Peceri whom he married on October 14, 1972, his cherished children Louis Peceri of Altamont, Nathan Peceri of Rotterdam, Rachel and her husband Doug Serton of Westchester, Jordan Peceri of Guilderland, and two grandchildren, Tucker and Angela Peceri of Altamont. Ron is survived by his siblings Kathy and her husband Leonard Tetlack of Barnegat, NJ, Don Depeaux of Clifton Park, Joel and his wife Ann Depeaux of Mechanicville, Kim and her husband Mark Spataro of Malta, his father-in-law Frank Imbesi and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home at 1605 Helderberg Avenue in Rotterdam on Thursday, October 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services will begin at the funeral home on Friday, October 21 at 9:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Madeline Sophie Church on Carman Road in Guilderland. Interment will follow at Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Madeleine Sophie.
