Roy, Maureen M. (Small) LATHAM Maureen M. (Small) Roy, 78, passed away, Sunday, September 12, 2021. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Small. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Adalbert "Al" Roy. Maureen worked as a secretary at St. Luke's Church in Schenectady and then became an administrative assistant at Otis Elevator in Albany until her retirement. She was also an office assistant at Marcella's Appliance in Schenectady. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Sheryl Lappin Vermette (Edward) of Rotterdam, Kristen Lappin (Chris Wirkkala) of Kirkland, Wash., Daniel Lappin (Shannon) of Rotterdam Junction, R. Allen Roy (Julie) of Greenville, S.C., and Daniel Roy (Danielle) of Cheshire, Mass. Maureen will also be missed by her granddaughters, Jessica, Allison Lappin, Rachel, Reagan, and Mikala Roy. Maureen is also survived by her brother, John E. Small (Joan); and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Maureen was predeceased by her brother, William J. Small. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 15, from 4-7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet. Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with interment following in the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
